Bacteriol. 91:1911-1916. 1966.-Immunoelectrophoretic analysis of stable amnion cells in which parainfluenza virus (type 2) was being actively synthesized revealed at least three precipitating antigens not found in normal cells. These "new" antigens differed from viral neuraminidase and hemagglutinin in both specificity and electrophoretic mobility; their identity and function remain to be elucidated.

متن کاملMolecular and Immunological Investigation of Canine Distemper Virus (CDV) and Its Co- Infection with Canine Parainfluenza Virus Type 2
Background and Objective: Canine distemper (CD) is a highly transmissible serious disease of carnivores. Distemper virus has immunosuppression effects, which, in turn, could lead to opportunistic infections. The present study was performed to detect CDV by the genomic and immunological methods and investigate its co- infection with canine parainfluenza virus type 2 (CPiV-2). Materials and Meth...

Background: Acute respiratory tract infections, both bacterial and viral, cause 4.5 million childhood deaths worldwide, most of which occur in developing countries. Parainfluenza viruses, of the paramyxoviridae family, are among the common causes of acute respiratory infections, giving rise to 30% of respiratory infections in children before school age. The four parainfluenza viruses that cause...

Canine parainfluenza virus (CPiV) is one of the most common organisms isolated from dogs with signs of infectious tracheobronchitis (ITB). Distribution is apparently worldwide. Although CPiV may cause mild clinical infections, clinical diseases is expected to be more severe in dogs co-infected with bordetella bronchiseptica than with any these agents alone. The present study was conducted to d...
